The Contest

International Biennial Of Ecological Cartoon is taking place for last 16 years in Sokobanja, small but famous touristic place in eastern Serbia. In year 1991. Local Assembly of Sokobanja proclaimed Declaration Of Ecological Township trying to preserve beautiful nature in Sokobanja and its surrounding. After that, in 1992. the idea for this contest was born.

More than 100 competitors from more than 30 countries worldwide, every two years are creating real artistic works on ecological topics, trying to raise their voice against destruction of ecosystem of our Planet.

Contest is preserved and organized by efforts from Local Municipality of Sokobanja, and especially all the credits goes to Aleksandar Blatnik, the most famous cartoonist from Serbia. He is also the artistic Director of this contest.
